I located my Dad in the 1923 Yearbook! Such a thrill to find his photo. His closest friend, Ben Bernatsky, is also pictured. My Dad passed away in 1984 and had many fond memories of Tech.
His senior year (1924) is unfortunately missing.

Hello Tech High Graduates - especially the Class of 1969. I really enjoyed reading the message board.
Would love to hear from more Techites! In 1969 I married my high school sweetheart, John Smith. (Class of 1968) We have been married almost 40 years and we live in Millington, TN. We have four wonderful daughters and seven grandchildren ranging in age from 15 - 4. They are the greatest and we love spending time with them. We stay pretty busy going to football games, basketball games, soccer and baseball games. Lots of fun! Can't believe that this year will be 40 years since I graduated. Time has really flown. John works for the Shelby County School system and I have a photography business. Hope to read more messages. I love reading about what my high school friends are up to. |

| I did not say much the first time I signed in. After graduation I went into the Navy and ended up in Naval Air. I served in 9 different types of aircraft including helicopters. I served 20+ years including 4 tours in Vietnam as a door gunner and rescue crewman picking up down pilots. When I got out I went back to the University of Arkansas and received a Bachelor of Architecture degree. My wife, Sue, and I will be married 40 years in December. We have 4 children, 19 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren with the 8th due in June. I am now retired and we are living in Ralston, OK, the town where Sue was born and raised. When we move to Ralston in 2006 it was our 38th move in 38 years of marriage. Needless to say we are finally settled. I am on the city council and have a large garden and flower beds which I enjoy very much. We don't go far anymore because of Sue's health but we are very happy just being home. e-mail if you would like |

Married Sherry McMahon (class of '87) in 1988 after I joined the Navy. We have two children Paris-Antony (18) and Jessica Alexandria (11) together. We divorced in 2006. Great marriage for the most part but Atheism and Christianity doesn't mix too well.
I've settled in Florida working for Verizon (Senior Systems Architect) supporting enterprise level Intel-based computer solution and networks

| I went to Tech from '67 through'69 and would have graduated in '70 but chose instead to get married and graduated from Memphis Technical Evening School...so I'm still in a way an alumni. I scrolled through the pictures and saw alot of familiar faces. My all time favorite teacher was Helen Thompson, cosmetology class, but I also remember a Mrs. Yanschechan, English, does anyone remember her, the name was Russian. Some familiar names and faces were Theresa Freeman, Terry Hinds, Mary Kay Soseby, just to name a few. |

| My husband and I live in Batesville Ark now. We retired in Seymour MO among the Amish. We lived there 6 years and had no English neighbors. We have been building horsedrawn vehicles of all kinds for 12 years on my part and 36 years on Don's. It's Don' Coach and Buggy Shop 1870-307-0259/ We sell farrier supplies too. We have draft horses, cats, dogs, and chickens. I miss Memphis but you go where your husband goes. Ronnie Weatherby, my ex a techite, is in Mountain Home Arkansas. Rus our son is the head computer man at Great Southern Bank in Springfield Mo and his wife is the office manager for Doug Pitt, Brad Pitt's brother. They love their jobs. I have 2 granddaughters Sydney and Kylie. If you are ever in Batesville, Mountain View, or Mountain Home Arkansas, we are near all. Bye Tech |

Hello all Techites. The purpose of this message is twofold. First to say hello to everyone and secondly to share some exciting information with everyone as well.
In recent years I have had the priviledge of getting to know one of our 1962 graduates who has become one of the most revered and honored Blues harmonica players in the world today, Mr. Charlie Musselwhite. Many of you are probably aware of the long and extremely influential career that Charlie has had since starting his journey soon after leaving Tech High school in 1962. Charlie's music is legendary from Mississippi to Memphis to Chicago,through California and throughout the world. That in itself is an amazing story, but what I want to share with you today is this. On April 24th 2009 Charlie Musselwhite will be honored with a special Blues Marker in Kosciusko Ms. at 3pm. The state of Mississippi is creating a "Blues Trail" throughout the state to honor its Blues heritage and promote tourism within the state. This is truly a wonderful honor for Charlie and one that we can all share in with pride.
Knowing that Tech High grads are spread far and wide I just wanted to get this info out and if anyone happens to live in the area of Kosciusko you would be welcome at the ceremony because it is open to the public.
Please check out www.msbluestrail.org or Charlie's website at Charliemusselwhite.com for information on this event and other exciting news. Also, Charlie will be playing in Memphis at B.B.Kings on Wednesday April 23rd. If you like great Blues music this will be a great show I'm sure.

My sister, Dee, sent me this site today and I have been riding down memory lane! looking at pics of classmates and teachers of long ago. I saw the photo of Mrs. Macdonald (the one in Carolina) - when was this photo taken and do you know if she is still alive? I would like to thank her for being the most influential person in my young life at Tech High. She truly was a great teacher for me.
I am showing all these great photos to my grandsons tonight and many thanks to those who put this site together to carry on the tradition of our school.
I attended the 20 yr. class reunion and had been married 21 yrs. then - still married to same Dale I met while in the eleventh grade at Tech. This is year number 42! I guess this accomplishment helps ease the fact that I did not graduate with the class of 1968, but I was there to see them graduate and I attended the 1968 beauty review to see friends participate. I saw Mrs. Macdonald the last time at that 20th. reunion - I guess in 1988.

When you visit FaceBooK again, type "Memphis Tech High School" in the search box. There is a listing for "us".
Tech also has very prominent listings with all the search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc), as well as excellent coverage by Wikipedia - the #1 encyclopedia of the internet <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tech_High_School>
As a member of FaceBooK, if you think there should be another type of listing on the FaceBook website, please add it. We hope you will also link it to our Tech Alumni website, because "this is the place" where you will encounter the most Tech graduates.
