Martha Lucile Andrews Martin, 82 of Bartlett, TN went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2010 after a lengthy illness surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Carlous Martin, Jr., her mother Annie Lucile Tucker Andrews and brothers James and Edward Andrews. She is survived by her children Martha Ann Martin Smith, Walter Carlous Martin III, Debbie Martin, Donald Martin (Peggy) and Chuck Martin (Sheila). She is also survived by her grandchildren Kristina Smith Hughes (Steve) Wendy L. Smith, David Allen Sutton, Jason Martin (Christy), Mark Martin and Chip Smith and her great-grandchildren Reed Sutton, Nadia Sutton, Baylee Grace Hughes and Taylor Martin and host of her other relatives and friends. Mrs. Martin was a long time employee of the Shelby County Trustee’s office as was her deceased husband.. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Memphis, TN from cradle roll until she joined Raleigh Baptist with her children after moving to that area. At First Baptist she was a vital part of the choir program, singing many solos. She was a graduate of Tech High School. Visitation will be 5:00 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2010 with the service at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2010, all being held at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Memorial Park Funeral Home.
