ROBERT LEE “Bob” GREENSLADE, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away September 23rd at the age of 75 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee. He was born on October 28, 1935 at John Gaston Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Zula Greenslade of Memphis, Tennessee. Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Martha and children, Vicki Jarrett (Mark) of Tupelo, Mississippi, Doug Greenslade (Sallie) of Memphis, Tennessee and Cathy Carter of Germantown, Tennessee. Bob leaves behind four grandchildren, David Carlisle (Shannon) of Saltillo, Mississippi, Matthew Carlisle (Christina) of Sacramento, California, Justin Carlisle (Laura) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Martha Elizabeth Greenslade of Memphis, Tennessee and one great-grandchild, Caroline Grace Carlisle. Bob is also survived by two brothers, Bill Greenslade (Betty) of Southaven, Mississippi and Thomas Greenslade (Billie) of Bartlett, Tennessee and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. Bob graduated from Tech High School in Memphis, Tennessee and attended Memphis State University. He was employed by Malone & Hyde, Fleming and Federal Express in Memphis, Tennessee. Bob was a long time member of Desoto Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He has been a member of East Win Christian Church since 1999. Services for Bob will be held on Wednesday, September 28th at East Win Christian Church, 4350 Hacks Cross Road, Memphis, Tennessee, 38125. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. With services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Bob will be laid to rest at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road in Memphis, Tennessee.
