RAYMOND C. HYDE, 56, of Memphis, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in Jackson, TN. He was an engineer with the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Mr. Hyde leaves a sister, Evelyn Hyde Joyner of Cordova; two aunts, Evelyn Cornelius of Memphis and Dorothy Simmons of Tyro, MS; a niece; a nephew; and three great-nieces. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 6 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Tyro, MS. Memphis man dies in truck accident on Bells Highway

A 56-year-old Memphis man died Tuesday after his pick-up truck went off the roadway and overturned on Bells Highway, according to the Madison County Sheriff's Department.

Raymond C. Hyde, the driver of the 1996 Dodge Ram pick-up truck, was transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after the wreck. At the hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival, a Tuesday sheriff's department press release said.  - The Jackson Sun
