ALICE LOUISE HALL -  Tech 1939, was the first "Maid of Cotton".  

The Maid of Cotton competition was conducted in every "cotton growing" state and the Maid had a prominent part during Cotton Carnival season in Memphis.  The rest of the year she traveled all over the world and promoted the use of cotton.
